EVENTSSaturday 23rd to Sunday 24th June 2007 ? Early Summer ShowSquires Garden Centre, Shepperton
The Early Summer Show at Shepperton is the first of the Society?s two National summer rose shows; held in the grounds of Squires Garden Centre
A rose show has been a feature of the Squires summer calendar for many years; early on it was known as the show for the South East group of the RNRS but when a new home was needed for the RNRS Southern Show, David (DJ) Squire offered his venue to the Society. Even in his last year at the rose show DJ showed great enthusiasm for life and for the rose and now his son Colin is our host for what has, in recent years, become the Society?s biggest show.
Additional feature at the show is a quilting exhibition and a well supported flower arranging section.
All members and affiliate members are encouraged to enter, with all the country's top exhibitors at this show there will be no shortage of expert advice for even the most inexperienced exhibitor. There are classes for Affiliated Societies and for individual exhibitors, many classes requiring just ONE rose bloom and lots of new Novelty classes, just for fun.
