NEWS8 February 2007 ? Adopt a rose bed and become a Friend of the Rose GardenThe Royal National Rose Society is to launch a scheme to allow local people and businesses to give practical support for the Rose Society Gardens at Chiswell Green. Become a Friend of the Rose Garden or adopt a rose bed and support the Society as it prepares to re-open the famous Society Gardens on 9 June. For just £20 individuals can secure an annual pass to the redesigned Gardens, allowing them to enjoy this beautiful place at their leisure. Those with time rather than money to spare, and who would enjoy helping the Gardens, will be more then welcome to join us as volunteers. Meanwhile, local business can help by adopting one of over 50 rose beds, fountains and other features at the Gardens for as little at £10 per square metre. In return we will acknowledge your support appropriately in our annual literature ? which goes to Society members and supporters around the World - and give you free access to the Gardens during opening hours all through the season. Friends of the Rose Garden will be launched at The Maltings Arts Theatre on 8 March, and local residents and businesses, who would like to have an exclusive preview of the new Rose Society Gardens are invited to attend. Email or call 07973 218434 for a complementary invitation. The re-opening of the Gardens will crown the renaissance of the Royal National Rose Society as it reshapes itself for the 21st century as the only charity committed to education about Britain?s national flower, and the only charity with Gardens dedicated to the Rose. |
