17 May 2007 ? Peter Seabrook to open Royal National Rose Society Gardens


Renowned garden expert Peter Seabrook will formally open the newly redesigned and refurbished Royal National Rose Society Gardens to the public on Saturday 9 June 2007.

Peter is one of the most respected garden writers and television presenters in the country. He has published many books offering practical and easy to understand advice and is best known today for his regular column in The Sun newspaper.

Richard Adams, chief executive of the Royal National Rose Society, said: "Peter has long been a member of the Society and everybody here is delighted that he is able to join us on our re-opening day."

On 9 June the car park and ticket office will be open from 10am. Peter Seabrook will cut the ribbon at 11am, and the Gardens will be open until 5pm. Refreshments will be available all day including a special barbecue. Tickets are £5 for adults and free for accompanied children under 16.
